e3 Medical - Greece Refugees by Anne Lucas

Greece continues to be a gateway into Europe from the Middle East and Africa. The UNHRC states there are approximately 35,000 refugees in Greece at any one time from 40+ countries. Greece is doing what she can to meet the needs but much help is needed!

Many refugees live in camps, parks or abandoned buildings. Often there is little access to clean water, toilets or the food they need. Our Ministry Partners who are also Middle Eastern Refugees tell us of major racism problems across the country denying basic necessities for the refugees. Most volunteer organizations have been unable to return due to COVID-19 travel restrictions which has made a negative impact in care the refugees are receiving.

During this time of being "grounded" from mission trips internationally, we continue to assess ways in which we can enable our National Refugee Ministry Partners to effectively engaged in ministry. To accomplish this, e3 Medical has launched "Virtual Medical Trips" that financially and prayerfully enable our National Refugee Ministry Partners to continue the ministry by meeting the many basic physical needs of their people! These opportunities also  open doors to share the Hope of the Gospel of Jesus!

While we are unable to serve with our traditional medical mission trips, through your generosity we have been able to

1. Provide food supply packages of beans, rice, cooking oil. We have provided grocery cards that allow refugees to buy groceries at local stores.

2. Provide pre-paid cell service cards that allows them to maintain contact with family and those helping them with gaining asylum in Europe.

3. Provide funds to enable refugees with prescriptions to get them filled at a local pharmacy. Refugees who see the doctors in the camps are given prescriptions to treat hypertension, diabetes, and other health issues, but they do not have the funds to pay for the prescriptions.

Our National Ministry Partners are telling us heartbreaking stories of families literally starving due to the lack of food and those who are dying because they cannot pay for their blood pressure or diabetes medicine. They have no jobs, no government subsidies and no financial means to purchase food, medicine and the basic necessities of life!

Like us, they are under "stay at home" mandates. Unlike us, many of these countries have severe penalties for going outside the home.

Please join our "Virtual Medical Teams" as we go into the world, virtually, enabling our wonderful National Partners to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

You can personalize your giving in the comment section of the donation page. This will let us know if you wish to adopt a family or other wishes you might have regarding your engagement with us virtually.

Many thanks for "going virtually" with e3 Medical!

  • Urgent need for prayer!

    Posted a week ago

We have a situation with a young refugee lady who "disappeared" ten months ago and our local team could not find her. They received word yesterday that she had been beaten by a bunch of thugs, falsely accused of a crime and put in jail ten months ago. None of her friends or family back in her country knew where she was or what had happened. She had no phone, no way to contact anyone.

One of our Brothers heard a few days ago that she was in prison. He was able to go to the prison and take blankets and a few hygiene supplies and snacks. He somehow was able to get a phone to her so we could know the situation.

The lawyer assigned to represent her didn't get paid so he quit working to get her released. She couldn't pay because she had no money, no assets and no way to contact any of our Brothers and Sisters or her family.

She is a strong young Christian lady.

Our Brothers there have contacted a lawyer to help her. If you can assist with any funds, we would greatly appreciate it.

    Please pray!!
    * For her protection!
    * For her health!
    * For her faith to stay strong!
    * For the lawyer to get her out of jail!

Thank you so much!! God bless you!

  • Refugee update from Greece

    Posted a week ago

Last week, we heard the heartbreak of fires that broke out in Moria on Lesbos Island in Greece. The fires virtually destroyed all of the Moria, the largest refugee camp. The devastation is indescribable! Refugees are now scattered sleeping in parks, in the forest, in make-shift camps.

The Greek government with assistance from the United Nation, NGOs and other groups is working to get them proper lodging and to meet the basic necessities.

Our Refugee Ministry Partners are working night and day to meet the basic needs, show and tell of God's love.

Funds donated are being sent to our Refugee Ministry Partners to help with food, water, blankets, clothes, medical attention and to provide opportunities for prayer, love and compassion.

Watch for date and times for an update from our Refugee Ministry Partners as we go "live" via Zoom to Greece.

    Thank you!

  • e3 Medical Update on Refugees in Greece

    Posted a week ago

2017 has been a year of joy and extreme sadness as we listened to stories of refugees who literally escaped evil in their countries ...escaping with a small bag of clothes and their lives!

"M" told us of fleeing with her school aged children as evil men were bursting into the school cutting off the heads of innocent little children.
"A" shared escaping after their home was bombed and family members were beheaded.
"S" broke our hearts as she shared about getting separated from her 9 year old son who ended up in a refugee camp in Germany, while the rest of the family ended up in Greece.

Serving the needs of the refugees seems like a 'drip in the ocean', but it is so very rewarding as they smile and give us a hug for loving them and meeting even a small portion of their needs.

Thank you for being a part of this work!  Your financial gifts are much appreciated!

Your financial gifts are much appreciated!

e3 Medical - Greece Refugees

  • A spark in the dark

"At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." Albert Schweitzer

You have been multiple sparks in the dark as you have walked along beside e3 Medical as we strive to model Jesus' love, compassion and healing. Thank you!

Funds from Medical Supplies have been used to

    • purchase food supplies for Believers and non-Believers who are without food
    • purchase medicine for who who had no means to purchase blood pressure, insulin much less medicine needed for COVID-19.
    • assisted in getting a trafficked young lady into a safe house.
    • in-person and via Zoom, we shared the Gospel and watched multitudes come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior! One of my favorite gifts to give is the gift of prayer. Prayer changes the one being prayed for and the one praying! God answers!
    • two ladies will be baptized Sunday because you gave!
One of my favorite gifts to give is prayer! Prayer changes the person being prayed for and the prayer!

God bless you and multiply your blessings!

    * For her protection!
    * For her health!

    Thank you!
