BLESS SYRIAN PASTORS
Syria is a nation covered in anguish and misery. The six year civil war shows no sign of ending and after 400,000 killings, the people of Syria are groaning and begging for mercy. The cycle of misery and sadness has the people in a state of shock while at the same time they have become numb to the rising death toll. It is the greatest humanitarian crisis since World War II. Iran, Russia, and the United States are also involved and the possibility of the conflict setting the whole Middle East on fire is a continual threat.
But Jesus loves the Syrians. He died for them too. And in the middle of it all, He is working and bringing Muslims, Druze, and Alawites to faith in Christ. Pastors, house church leaders, and believers have made a commitment to stay in Syria and not leave no matter how intense the persecution becomes. A group of 25 Syrian pastors and leaders have purchased a plot of land to bury each other in when they die for Jesus. Like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego facing the fiery furnace in the book of Daniel, these courageous Christian leaders are standing in the fire unafraid whether God intervenes or not. The fiery furnace in today‘s Syria is without a doubt ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra, and other Islamic terrorist groups who are executing Christians on crosses and decapitating them with their swords.
This year for the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted, e3 Partners, American Family Radio, Voice of the Martyrs, and the Christian Broadcasting Network are sponsoring a letter writing campaign to the pastors, house church leaders, and believers of Syria who are committed to staying on the front lines even if it costs them their life.
Your Syrian brothers and sisters in Christ need you. Paul the Apostle, who came to faith in Christ in Syria, reminds us of how the Body of Christ is permanently connected as a family, “If one member suffers, all suffer together.” I Corinthians 12:26
In 2015 for the IDOP we wrote letters to the widows of the Egyptian martyrs who were killed on the beach in Libya at the hands of ISIS. This year in 2016 we are writing letters to the Syrian pastors, house church leaders, and believers who are standing in the fire and courageously staying in Syria. The letters, and emails will be hand delivered to the modern day heroes of our faith living in Syria. Encourage your brothers and sisters in Syria and write them today!
Send a note, prayer, or Bible verse of encouragement to the Syrian believers serving under constant threat of persecution.

Your support of any amount will help e3 Partners care for the persecuted and partner with them to advance the Gospel.
